Debbie is a fully qualified practitioner of Chinese Medicine with 16 years of experience. She is a fully insured member of the British Acupuncture Council and follows their safe practice guidelines. Debbie qualified in 2001 from the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, later continuing her studies with Japanese acupuncture master Kiko Matsumoto. She has also trained in Tuina massage which integrates acupuncture with massage in the Chinese tradition.

Since 1995 Debbie has practised and studied mindfulness meditation within the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, and nurtured a desire to integrate this with her work life. This became a reality when in 2008 she teamed up with Tessa Watt and Ed Halliwell to create Being Mindful – a successful Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) business which has helped over a thousand participants move from stress and anxiety to health and well being via mindfulness techniques.

Between 2013 and 2015 Debbie spent 18 months ‘on the road’ as a personal assistant to an eminent teacher, writer and thought leader in the field of mindfulness meditation. Drawing on the many years of her own practice, research and study, along with 10 years of teaching MBSR, Debbie has a unique intuitive approach to healing on all levels.
